Search with Chinese name, address, phone number, or a saved map pin. English place names are useful for you, but local navigation often needs Chinese identifiers.

Situation

You search a hotel, restaurant, attraction, or station in English and the map app finds nothing or the wrong branch.

Before You Start

  1. Save Chinese names for hotels and stations.
  2. Screenshot important map pins.
  3. Keep phone numbers for hotels and venues.
  4. Save offline address notes.
  5. Ask the hotel to confirm destinations before leaving.

Steps

  2. Search by full Chinese address if name search fails.
  3. Use phone number search for hotels or venues when available.
  4. Check district and nearby landmarks.
  5. Save the confirmed pin before starting transport.
